Tripzee Privacy Policy

Tripzee helps you plan trips, create packing checklists, and scan belongings with on-device machine learning. This Privacy Policy explains how Tripzee handles information when you use the Tripzee iPhone app.

Information Tripzee stores

Trip plans, packing checklists, scanned item records, notes, and related images are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage frameworks. Tripzee does not operate an account system or upload this information to a Tripzee server.

Camera access

Tripzee requests camera access only when you start scanning belongings. Camera frames are processed on your device for item recognition. Tripzee does not collect, retain, or upload camera images.

Destination search

When you search for a destination, Tripzee may send the text you enter to Photon, a third-party geocoding service, to provide destination suggestions. Please review Photon’s service information for its handling of requests.

Weather information

Tripzee may request weather information for the destination you select. Weather data is provided through Apple WeatherKit. Tripzee does not use your device’s real-time location for this feature.

Notifications

If you enable trip reminders, Tripzee schedules notifications locally on your device. Tripzee does not send your reminder content to a Tripzee server.

Information Tripzee does not collect

Tripzee does not collect accounts, contacts, payment information, advertising identifiers, analytics data, or precise device location. Tripzee does not sell personal information and does not use information for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.

Third-party services

Tripzee uses Apple WeatherKit for weather data and Photon for destination autocomplete. These services may process requests according to their own privacy practices. Tripzee does not control the privacy practices of third-party services.

Children’s privacy

Tripzee is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data security and deletion

Tripzee data is stored locally on your device and is protected by the security controls provided by your operating system. You can delete trip plans and packing records within the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data, subject to your device’s backup settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Tripzee’s features or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
